No Fixed Address

This journey started back in November 2006 when my husband Bob realized his life long dream of buying an Oyster sailboat. From his very first glimpse of an Oyster back in the early 80's his dream had been born. No other boat would do, and owning one was to become his goal in life. As in all things once my husband makes up his mind to do something it's as good as done. There was never a doubt in my mind that he would indeed own an Oyster one day. The plan had always been to have one built specifically for us on his retirement that however was not going to be the case. The circumstances leading up to our buying a second hand Oyster, instead of having one built, and ten years earlier than planned, is another story.
The first step towards our new life was to sell our home, this was about to become one of the most stress-full periods of our lives, and the biggest change in our circumstances. We were exchanging a 12,000 sq foot house for a 56 foot yacht; major, major change. We would be leaving ourselves with no land base, no home to return to, and No Fixed Address!
